Propane consumption would depend on the size of the engine, the load it's under, and the efficiancy of the motor/generator. In a comparison between the 2 fuels propane burns cleaner but has a lower btu/gal than gasoline. If you're considering LP for boondocking consider the availability for fuel replenishment. You may have to travel greater distances to get an LP tank filled.

Your camping neighbors will be hating you with a 72 db noise level.

Portable Generator

Make sure to check the spec’s out when converting the generator to propane, most put out less power.

Yes, 72 db is about as loud of a generator as you can get…well six kids, a stereo turned way up and truck without a muffler could probably drown it out. Nothing like the sounds of a city while camping to make you feel like home.

According to the mfg site there's only about a 1 amp drop using propane vs gasoline. That surprises me because typically it's a considerable drop in output. 72 db is considered loud but not excessively. 70 db is about like a shower or a cheap dishwasher, or city traffic. 80 db is considered very loud from the charts I've seen. Yes it will make holding a "normal" conversation difficult but shouldn't be a shouting match unless you're standing right next to it.
