fireplace lights

I have a 2011 Alpine with the electric fireplace. I'm trying to figure out how to get inside of it. The light bulbs are still working at this point but the flames keep freezing. It looks just like someone hit the pause button on a dvd. It is very intermittant at this point. The booklet for the fireplace that came with the camper references two screws at the bottom of the fireplace to access the bulbs but it doesn't say anything about how you are supposed to get to them. I would think the front of the fireplace would have to pull out of the cabinet it is mounted in somehow, but so far I am baffled as to how it does. Unfortuneatly I forgot to look at the brand name on the pamplet when I was reading it so I'll probably have to come back and offer that. But if anybody has anyinsight into this I would really appreciate it.

The same is happening to my 2012 Alpine, curious if you found out how to remove the fireplace.

Frank hasn't logged onto the forum for about the past 15 or 16 months... If he still has his "forum notifications" set to notify him of "thread activity" he might get an email that you posted a question... Then if he doesn't or if he changed email accounts or is no longer available.... It's worth the effort to ask, but you might consider starting a new thread and asking "for yourself"... Be sure to include all the pertinent information about YOUR symptoms and what you've done so far to troubleshoot the problem....

Good Luck !!!

If your fireplace has a surround, try lifting it straight up. There will be 4 squarehead screws underneath.
