I have been using PC Matic for years an all our/grandkids computers. Never a issue. I know there have been attempts but non ever got through. First thing I do when starting up a new system is to dump all preloaded virus software and load PC Matic. I'm sure there are other opinions, never a shortage here.

I have been using PC Matic for about a year now. Priced right, runs in the background, scans every night. So far, so good.

Sorry Mike,
What I should have mentioned was that in that link all the other anti virus protection software companies are listed and reviewed in there. Most are comparable, some are cheaper. I use AVG it's free. Haven't had an issue.
Have had Norton and MacAfee. Haven't really noticed the difference. They mostly all have ads and popups. I also use Adblock, also free.
Good luck

I take it your running firefox, mozilla email.
That's the key right there most don't understand.
Both of these are run independently of the operating system where with microsoft and others the operating system is part of all programs, simply put.
That and the fact the numbers of people using linux based products is low so hacker's don't bother with it.

I have also seen when subscriptions begin the run out people having problems with there computers, once paid up it all goes away. Don't pay up????
