Couch > inflatable bed

The wife and I bought an Outback 210TB, new in 2014. We have never been able to get the couch to convert into an inflatable bed. We have had two Camping World's tell us "we don't know nuffin, read the book". Has any one broken the code on how to make this thing work?

Bed

Hello, we had a Springdale with one of those mattresses, and it came with a battery ran blower that twisted on the mattress connection. Hopefully it's still in one of your drawers or cabinets. Hope this helps...

We took that uncomfortable couch completely out of the trailer and replaced it with one that doesn't take near the floor space and is comfortable to sit on. We figured that if someone really needed to sleep on an inflatable mattress, they could do it on the floor.

Ours was built in to the mattress but there are others available that will plug in the inflator hole. Each of us tried sleeping on that mattress from our 5er - the sofa now resides in the S&B finished basement room as it is cold and uncomfortable and neither got much sleep. A reasonably comfortable conventional sofa bed replaced it this spring

If it is the standard mattress that Keystone uses, (Made In China) I'm quite surprised you got the thing to blow up and hold air at all. There is a separate string (blog) on these things most with unsatisfactorily results.

Do you mean "how to unfold the couch" or do you mean "how to inflate the mattress"?

If yours is like ours, grab the back of the couch, center cushion section, at the top, and pull toward you, then tumble that section one more time, so the top of the couch back is now pointed at the floor.

If you mean inflate the air mattress, after you tumble the couch towards you twice, the mattress is stowed in a black cloth bag attached to the back of the couch (now face up at the foot of the bed). Unzip the bag and unfold the air mattress out to cover the bed. Ours has the inflate/deflate motor built into the mattress in the upper right corner (standing at the foot looking towards the head. Plug in the pump, and inflate.

Stowing is the reverse of above.

Our guests have said they feel the air mattress is just as comfortable as a typical mattress (and they came back and stayed with us another trip, so apparently it was ok).
