Universal rail install question.
We just brought our new 2016 Ram 3500 home that is replacing our 2009 Ram 2500. I called the local shop that installed our Curt 20K slider hitch in the 09' about getting rails installed in the new truck. The new truck is a long bed without factory 5th wheel setup or air suspension. The person told me that there may be a "plate" under the bed of the new truck that would prevent the installation of the Curt rails in the bed of the truck. Has anyone ran into this issue? What we want to be able to do is be able to move the actual Curt hitch between the old truck (Our son bought the 2500 from us), to the new truck and that way both trucks could have the option to use the 5th wheel hitch. Anyone have any advice or ran into this?
