Question TV Wallplate issues

My husband and I recently purchased a 2005 Keystone Sprinter 299RLS from a private seller. During their ownership, they removed the wall plate for the TV connection and disconnected all of the cables so they could connect Satellite service. We are trying to connect our TV to antenna (Winegard Sensar) to watch local channels but don’t know how to reconnect the cables to the wall plate in the correct order.

You can go to the Winegard website and download the Sensar antenna owner's manual. On page 6 you'll find the connection instructions for the power supply (which is located in the wall of your RV).

Re: TV wall plate issues.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Are you using a voltage meter during the tests? My problem is to trying to identify which cable goes where on wall plate; which is just hanging there. There is a green light on the wall plate, but all of the cables are not attached anymore. They are just there in a hole in the paneling. Do I just try to connect in 9 different combinations till I get it right? They all look the same yet I know each specifically goes to a designated hook-up. Will the tests help me determine that?

If you have three cables, look to see if they are different colors, sizes, etc. Then look to see which is which at the various outlets. If they are all the same. Go to the outlet in the bedroom and short across the center pin and the outer shield. Then go back and measure with an Ohm meter to see which is shorted. That's the one you connect to "outlet 2". Then you only have two possibilities of how to connect the other two: The antenna input and the main TV output.

Hope this makes sense to you.

The power leads for the amplifier should also be in there somewhere. (Green Light)

Coax Tracer

Use a coax tracer (get it a Lowes) and trace the coax cables. That is, find out where they go. See pictures Be sure to label your coax cables.

Go to the Winegard website and look at their instructions for installing their antenna.

You will see how the antenna (and the coax cables) should be connected.
