Angry Dingo Deals is a PIA

After warning anyone who could get near my confuser about downloading crap I am the guilty one.
Near as I can tell I picked up "Dingo Deals" malware that pops up in whatever you search with "such a great deal". It's everywhere, EBAY, this site,rv forum everywhere I go.
I tried getting rid of it via instructions posted on line.
I think it came from trying to download a game from Facebook. If anyone can offer any help, I would gladly buy you an adult beverage.

You could start by going to Trend Micro House Call (free download) and scanning your computer for viruses and malware. Update your own virus software daily to keep it from being infected. House Call is free but of course when it is done they will try to sell you their product. Good luck, Hank

Hank, thanks for the suggestion. I ran House Call and it didn't find anything. I'm beginning to think this virus is as hard to find as wiring diagrams for a Keystone Springdale!

You might get lucky and find it is actually a program that was installed. Go to your control panel and search on 'programs and features' to see if it shows up. If it is there, you can just uninstall the program. I had a different one of these show up a while back and after much hassle, was able to just remove the program. Mine did have a different name than what showed when it would pop up on the screen, but it was obvious when I discovered it on the list.

Use a search engine for dingo deals, you may find someone who has found a work around. I had to take a work computer to a repair shop to remove malware .

On another forum someone suggested downloading "Malware Bytes". I tried the free sample and it found a bunch o' stuff, it got rid of it, and no more dingo deals!

program

I had the same experience as bobbeckey. It was a program with a different name and an install date of 2 years earlier! Obviously it was not an old program. I found it by going to "programs" and opening each one. It was great to get rid of it!!

Garbage like that is the reason I made the leap to Mac and have never looked back. I do have to admit that Windows 8 had a little bit to do with it.

There is a program called a squared. A2 I think is how you Google it. It is pretty good at removing malware. Can't remember the company that makes it. Maybe elaborate bytes. But I could be wrong. Usually this program takes care of most issues I have ever had.
