8,000 mile bearing re-pack ??????

I have been traveling cross country since 8/2013 with a brand new 2013 keystone Bullet TT. When do I need the bearings repacked? What about the breaks and the break controller? What needs to be done with them?

I have my Bearings repacked and the brakes checked cleaned and adjusted every Spring. I travel about 8-9,000 miles a year and have done it for the last 9 years that I have been camping both in my TT & 5er. They pull the wheels and hubs off remove the bearings and replace the axle seals.

Bearings

I believe the rule of thumb is 10K miles or once a year for the bearings. I have never made it to 10K yet. Even if the TT just sits around there is the chance for moisture to get in the bearings and do some damage.

If you did not get the dexter axle maintenance and service manual with your trailer purchase, get one it is about 80 pages of inportant stuff. Mine says yearly or 12,000 miles regarding the bearings.
