2020 Cougar 34rd

Howdy,

Need help. On the external RV front lights, they do not turn off...it's a 2 strips of lights that are always on as long as the batteries are charged or I plug in. I cannot turn them off and I called Keystone their tech said that the In Command should have an external light option...which it does not. So they suggested to look for a switch either near the batteries which I cannot find.

How do I turn these lights off?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you,

John

You will most certainly have a switch to turn those lights on/off.

I wouldn't expect it to be controlled via In-Command, but a separate switch.

Not sure what your model looks like exactly, but on our 24RDS there is a rocker switch on the front to control those lights.
You might look all along the front, or inside the front storage compartments.
Look for a rocker switch.

On my 2023 Cougar 23MLE the light switch is located on front of camper drivers side. It is a black rocker switch. Batteries are located in front storage compartment behind that switch.

On my rig, the switch for the landing lights is fiendishly hidden. There's a recessed eyebrow tucked down low behind the propane tanks. The switch is located on the sidewall of that eyebrow, where you will never see it. (It's actually on the opposite side of the eyebrow from the arrow, but I didn't have a photo from that side to show the recess.)

Ours has it next to the tank heater switches and the landing gear switches.

Well Johnny, did you find the switch? Several of your pals here on the forum took the time to help. Your turn to reciprocate and answer.

Should be an exterior switch to turn these off. On my Cougar Fifth Wheel it is under the front overhang.

Although a Bullets, in both of the models we have had it is a rocker switch inside the pass thru on the passenger side. I didn't realize it was there until after out first 8 week trip as it was somewhat in an upper dark corner.
