Here is our shack on the shore at Canton Lake, taken yesterday. It’s a 2006 3/4 ton diesel pulling a 2019 Cougar 25res.

First journey with our new F-350 King Ranch.
We traded in our '12 RAM dually, which did an okay job, but was overloaded for total truck/RV weight. The F-350 has room to spare in spades!
The second picture was yesterday morning. We woke up and our F-350 had a new big brother right in the next lot, a new F450. What are the odds of this???
Also had a bit of a surprise Sunday morning, snow! Yuck...

Picked up a new tow vehicle that should be future proof. I currently have a Passport but plan to upgrade to a 5th wheel in the future.

Sweet looking truck. I have a Dodge Charger in black also. Such fun keeping them clean. LOL. The previous one was white, which was lots less work, but I prefer the black myself.

Yes the night edition in black is my favorite style for the RAM trucks. I traded a 2020 Longhorn 1500 that was white. The one and only white vehicle I have ever owned. It was an extremely nice truck but I could never get my head around the white.

2020 Chevy 3500
I bought this last June. It's a beast! The turning radius crushes my F-250 CC w/ 8' bed work truck.

Good choice! I have the identical truck...a Laramie ...we need to get our itinerary’s straight so we don’t end up in the same campground at the same time

This one is a well optioned BigHorn. I traded a 2020 Longhorn 1500 and didn’t want the deadweight of all the optional equipment I never used. I turned off auto anything except the headlights.
This BigHorn has a more basic interior than the Longhorn but I prefer the basic. I was constantly worried about passengers and cargo damaging the Longhorn interior. I think the only thing I really miss is the memory for the seats and other adjustments.
But I also had to pick from inventory since the dealer wanted my other truck pretty badly. It was between this dually and a 2500 Laramie Megacab. I just don’t need a megacab and the 3500 payload on my door sticker is 5720 pounds. I don’t see me ever exceeding that.
I was not concerned with HO/SO decision. I would take either as long as the rest of my requirements were met. I won’t be stressing the truck enough to really need the Aisin trans and the current 68rfe is mature and durable at this point. I ended up with the SO. I do have 4.10 gearing. I am happy with it. Of course, I had to install the LED headlights and fog lights after I bought the truck. They came with halogen. I am waiting on some Mopar harnesses to install the LED tail lights.
I mostly camp in the south east. I have also camped in Michigan. I am planning to go out west in the next year or two.
Sorry for the long post. I love the truck and I am sure you feel the same about yours.

Nothing wrong with the Big Horn .. I would have went that way if I could have found one with the 50 gallon tank and Harmon stereo ..I am not a big fan of mud flaps but I got the factory Mopar ones to keep the dirt to a minimum on the fifth wheel...that don’t look bad

I have ordered the Mopar mud flaps as well. I am not usually a fan either, but they seem appropriate for a dually.
I wanted the 50 gal tank but did not end up getting it. There are a couple upgrade options to 50 plus gallon tanks that mount in the OEM location. They cost around 1200-1400 bucks.

I could do that but I am a sucker for things that seem OEM. I have considered doing both but not sure how important it is to me yet.
I can use AlfaODB to reconfigure vehicle options and correct the range for the fuel gauge as well. I used this program to enable correct function of the OEM LED headlight housings I swapped.
