Upgrading electric for off grid

So i got 1 100w solar panel already on it when i bought it wth a 10amp charge controller. Im adding a 200w solar havent got a new controller yet and i got a 200ah lithium battery and a 800w peak 400w continuous pure sine inverter. It also has a wfco 8955 fuse panel with converter in it. I also cant get generator to start. But i want to connect my inverter to main power so it works just like being plugged in or having my generator going( i wish i could). Any ideas will help. I know i got to put a switch on it between the inverter and where i wire it to panel but how to i make the converter not run when using the inverter. As i dont need the inverter to charge the batteries cause that where im drawing the power from?

Welcome to the forum

What appliances are you trying to power using the inverter?

If all the DC stuff is 12V, leave it that way. Brand new RV’s are still using 12VDC components, if you change (don’t know that you could) replacement parts would be near impossible to get I bet.

So what size generator do you have? As for solar, 300 watts of solar and a 400 watt inverter isn't going to run much. Most 120 v ac ceramic induction heaters are 800 - 1,100 watts. You would quickly run out of load capacity on that rig to carry enough batteries and run out of resale value investing enough solar to do much other than charge the batteries and maybe watch some television.

So like i said generator wont start not sure about it? But right now i have one 100w and one 200w solar panel. I need to upgrade controller cause i plan on buying at least 2 more 200w panels. A 200ah 2560wh lithium battery 1280 continuous load also thinking of getting a second one and a 8000w peak 4000w continuous pure sine inverter. I want to hook all this in to my wfco-8955 distribution panel. Which i have to upgrade the converter to the wfco-8950l2-mba. When doing this i plan on hooking a switch up to turn off converter when inverter is on and i also need to make sure no power is running into the inverter when plugged into shore power.

I would be looking at a combo converter/inverter. Go Power makes one, install is fairly easy.

My problem im running into is figuring out what switches to get to make sure my converter isnt working when my inverter is on and that no power runs back to my inverter when plugged into shore(and where to put them and how to wire them) and what kind of controller to get for my solar panels(when i get them all should be around 700w). Another thing i wondered is if my converter isnt running will all my stuff on the 12v side of distribution panel still get power? And is there any feasible wind generators for motorhomes?

Or instead of turning converter off just putt kill switch on line going from distribution panel to battery?
