Hello All
Hello I am new to the forum. We just recently purchased a 2010 Keystone Hornet 31RLDS. We have been out camping in it 2 times so far, and we are very happy with it. I am towing it with a 2007 Toyota Tundra, the truck does a really good job towing the trailer. I did install 10 ply "E" rated tires on the truck.
Mods and repairs already completed:
Installed dual battery system.
Installed Tornado black water tank cleaner.
Replaced both vent covers.
Installed tire covers while in storage.
Future Mods and repairs:
Clean and condition the rubber roof.
Install covers over slide outs.
Electric tongue jack, (already ordered).
Looking forward to many years of camping.
Thanks
Ken

Welcome to forum and congrats on the new digs. If you run out of things to do to yours, I have a list of things I'd like to do to mine.

How is that unit towing with the Tundra. Some people will say thatt is too much TT for the truck.
I say that because we have a 32 SAB Cougar on order and it is about the same size as the Hornet and that is some of the feedback I get. I think our units are within weight load ranges of the Tundra just fine. Did you happen to take ur rig to the scales to conffirm hitch wt? What type of WDH are you using?
All the bestt with your new unit! Make some great memories!

Hi Chris, sorry I did not get back with you sooner.
The Tundra handles the TT just fine, no issues at all. I am running 10 ply E rated tires as well. The WDH came with the TT, it is made by EAZ LIFT round bar. It works very well along with the sway bar. The farthest I have been with the TT is only three hours drive. Everything went well, no issues at all. I live in the Atlanta area and plan a trip to the Fl coast sometime. That will be the real test for the Tundra.
I have not taken it to the scales yet, but I do intend to do it sometime soon.
Good luck with the Cougar, let me know how it works out for you.
Thanks
Ken

Welcome to the group and congrats on the Hornet. We love our Hornet, it has been a great camper going on 7 years now. It is well made, looks decent inside and was pretty cheap. LOL
