so far I've struck out finding the exact replacement. I pulled the old seal out and measured. It's actually 5/16" wide by 5/16" tall so is that considered 1/4" or would it be 3/8"?. I bought some 1/2" from local rv dealer as that's the smallest I could find. I haven't installed it yet as I'm still looking for the exact replacement first. I guess the 1/2" would compress down and work if I can't locate the smaller size?

This one is a TAD bit wider than 5/16 but only by about .040" which SHOULD be negligible. Also, most Home Depots should have it in stock...

Haha, yep I see that. I know where I’m going on my lunch break at work tomorrow. Thanks, will give it a try.

Bring a chunk with you. Just because the measurements are close doesn't always mean it will work. The stiffness and whatnot should match as well. If the new stuff is TOO hard, it may not allow the window to close, but it'd be worth a shot. And again, clean as MUCH of that old silicone off as possible. Any residue left behind will prevent the new stuff from sticking. Silicone is the devil...

Already have a piece cut and in the car to go with me tomorrow. The window frame actually doesn’t have any silicone on the section that the seal stick to , but I spent yesterday evening scrubbing inside and outside of the outer frame area so all good there.

just to update, I bought the seal from Home Depot to try, but it was not as thick as the original seal. I ended up installing the slightly wider, but same thickness seal I purchased from the local dealership. We're heading out later this week for Memorial weekend trip, so we'll see how it holds up.

Hope it holds up! As long as the width fits, it should actually be a better seal with more surface area to hold everything tight.

long weekend camping trip completed this past weekend. Window did fine, although it was dry the entire trip, so no way to tell if it will leak just yet or not.
