Hi from the deep south!

Hi Heather and I am brand new to RV life. I jumped in feet first and I mean full-timers right off the bat. I purchased 2006 Springdale by Keystone . It's taken some adjusting but I think I'm doin okay! It's just me and my doggo Stella Mae. We are originally from New Orleans but currently parked just over the Alabama state line in Theodore.

Welcome to the forum Heather! Lots of good folks and tons of knowledge so don't hesitate to ask questions when a situation arises.

I didn't remember Theodore, AL so looked it up. Don't recall being there but I've been in Tillman and Tillman's Corner a few times. Welcome to RVing.

Hello Heather and welcome!

I can imagine getting used to full-timing would take some time to adjust to. My DW and I have discussed doing something like that someday.

There are many great folks here on the forum who are quite knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions.

Take care and enjoy!

From Utah!
Lots of opportunity out there to explore new places. Just think of all the things you've always wanted to do or see. Now you can make it happen.
Best of luck with your new lifestyle.

Hello and Welcome for the North East

Hello Heather,

I too am a first timer.

A daunting task, as I have learned first hand.

My wife and I are Feline people, some say easier to care for but my Vet has a sign in her office that says, "Dogs have Masters, Cats have servants. No truer words have been spoken. but I had a German Shepard as a child.

I love ALL animals, hurt an animal and we gonna have a problem.

Even though you are from the deep south and I am a Connecticut Yankee, I hope that is NOT and issue.

Back in the early 90's, I was in Raleigh, NC for a month on business. Met a couple in a bar (I am married so nothing happening there), but we were getting along very well until they learned I was from the North, and then I was NFG. I did not clearly understand until I was back home and shared the story. I was told that I just should have said, "Are you still pissed you lost the war?"

IMO, the past is the past. We are who we are today, here and now. Good or bad no matter your race, color, creed or religion. You treat me right, we are good. If not, refer to my comment on hurting an animal.

I wish you all the best and if you EVER need some help or advice, please..

Take care and all the best to you and yours.

Kevin

Welcome Heather we go to Dauphin Island twice a year so I'll wave to you in July on our next trip down. We don't take the camper on those trips. We are thinking about it sometime though. No question is too dumb!
