Jackknife Couch Removal

Hello! We have had our 2003/2004 Springdale 229FDLS for almost 2 years now and have yet to figure out how to replace or remove the jack knife couch so that we can put in recliners or even a loveseat that reclines.

The couch appears to be built on a platform. When I had someone come out to address minor issue with slide and routine maintenance, he removed the board that covers the front of the sofa and underneath he had access to all sorts of mechanical things, so I'm guessing whatever we replace with has to sit on this somewhat narrow platform?

Ideas so appreciated....love to sort this out because otherwise she is perfect size!
