Condensation

We have purchased a new american caravan (Keystone Passport 2850 Grand Tourer), are really enjoying it now it is summer but have had problems with condensation over the winter. Areas were in the far north, right down through the north island and first half of the south island of New Zealand. Most of our camping is freedom so a large electric dehumidifier or the air conditioner (we had removed) is not much help either. We do have plenty of ventilation and keep the temperature warmish as we are aware warm air holds moisture. We have damp rid and hanging moisture collectors in the wardrobes and leave cupboards and wardrobes slightly open at night to keep the temperature even. Roof vents are open a little.Towels are secured in plastic bags after showers and dried outside. No boiling food on the oven top etc..etc..etc..

Overnight walls get wet, mattress at head of bed and furnishings where they touch the walls are often damp. The caravan has been purchased from the colder part of the USA and has been refitted with double glaxed windows as we were aware of the varying degrees of insulation. The main problem seems to be where the framework of the trailer is. ie: where the walls meet the roof, where the awning is fixed to the side, in the wardrobes and cupboards. It is quite easy to see where the frame comes down the walls as there is a strip of moisture marking out these areas. Any other suggestions?

OR

Does anyone know if there is an effective dehumidifier with a low wattage, suitable to run of our 2500 inverter that may help our problem?
Thanks
Leonie
