Ok. Obviously I didn’t read “extended” so that warranty may, hopefully!, be a saving grace on this for you and them. Mine was a burnt off wire connection. Poor connection caused it to burn itself off the common post on the compressor. After applying a fix to that burnt wire, the unit ran just fine. I probably could have left well enough alone. However we bought a new unit from PPL and installed it myself. Now I have a slightly used 2020 unit boxed up in my garage waiting for a day where I can sell it or end up using it after all.
