Portable Inverter Generator

Has anyone used or have experience with a Dual Fuel portable generator? Are they worth the extra cost ?

I'm thinking all I need is 2000 - 2200 watts. I've seen a couple out there, Champion for one.

I guess one benefit would be not necessarily needing to carry gasoline in a container around. Although, I think one would need a separate 20lb propane cylinder.

Can the generator be run off of the main trailer propane tank(s) ?

I got the Harbor Freight - Predator Inverter Generator. It is amazing. Highly Recommend.

A friend of mine has one also, he likes it. Much cheaper than a Honda.

I'm still thinking about a propane/gasoline based unit.

I like the idea of having fuel options but unless I was someplace stationary I probably wouldn’t use the propane...I’m sure others do but I think it’s easier to grab a few gallons of gasoline somewhere if I need it ..if I use the generator any length of time on propane I would have to get the propane tanks refilled more often and that is more of a pain to me.
Any extra gasoline I don’t use I just put in my lawnmowers or four wheeler.. I have the Predator 3500 and can use it for my house also

Just got the dual fuel Champion 3400 inverter Gen for Christmas as a gift.... haven't had to use it so can't say, but I used it with propane to put the 6 hour break in and found it used about 1/4 of the full 20lb tank.. granted it was under very little load (a portable heater off and on) but it does weigh 100lbs... so unless I'm going somewhere to boondock, it won't be coming along...not sure if this helps...

I've got 2 Honda 2000's, but if I were shopping I would look closely at the Cummins/Onan portables.
