black water

i read through and have not found anything simular to my problem, i have a 2019 alpine, 40' 5th wheel model is a 3651rl i think. when out camping i can dump the black water, add a black water tank chemicals for 40 gallon black water tank and everything good for a day, about middle of 2nd day everytime we flush we get an oder, i usually try for 3 days between dropping tank when in full hook-ups. is there a better chemical i need? i have even poured soap into tank filled about 1/2 way and used black water tank cleaner,,,, nothing seems to help, last trip i had 3 treatments for 40 gallon tank in a 1.2 full 40 gallon tank and it smelled. any help?

We use Happy Camper and have been happy with its performance. Also use it in grey tanks for odour control.

We have used TankTechsRX for quite a while with no odor problems. We have also used Odorlos in the past with very good results.

If you dump the tank after 3 days the odor is probably above that level. Try not dumping till it's nearly full. If you have a Washout connection use it!

It connects to city water to clean the Black Tank after you drain it.

We full time and don't add any chemicals to the black tank, and DW has a sensitive nose, and never have an issue with odor in the bathroom.

Exactly what Russ said^^^^. I believe you have a negative pressure inside the RV (bathroom fan, open vents in other parts of the RV, stove exhaust fan) causing those odors to come out of the black tank while you are flushing.

Current RV is a 2014 Alpine,,never have used any chemicals in black tank and have never had any odor issues. I’d be looking at black tank vent pipe integrity

I know it's a 30-minute video, but is actually very interesting. I didn't have the smell problem, but did use his ideas to clean off the sensors while driving. The first time we cleaned the grey tank, you would have thought we were dumping the black tank. Planning to use this each time before we go camping. Plus it uses normal chemicals that aren't harmful.
