Keystone Furrion antenna

As some of you might recalled my Furrion antenna came off my 2019 Cougar fifth wheel, and was replaced under warranty.
Now i have a Safety Recall notice 20V-398 So i called the Keystone Company and they said the recall was across the board and will be replacing it again FREE they will replace it with a Winegard dome antenna. Finally great news.

Is it a different antenna from the TT's? I have seen the recall for 5ers but not the TT's.

I talked to Furrion today, they determined that the problem with the top flying off the base is a Keystone factory install problem. Something about using the wrong length screws and cracking the install area. I couldn't pin the tech down on exactly what was cracking. I've lost mine twice.

Wi-Fi Furrion with Winegard 360

Our Furrion antenna blew off too... They replaced it with the Winegard Air360. I have the Hybrid of the Old Furrion Wifi extender with the router inside the RV that I bought. I am so disapointed that they did not just put the Air360+ in and I would have bought the $300 Winegard router.
I have a firestick that is connected to the campsite 2.4ghz and my laptop on the campsite 5ghz that has better uptime. During meetings I have to use a Verizon MiFi to make sure I have a strong signal and can't even use the old Furrion Router/Ant at all.
I think I might just go buy a King Wifi Max and call it a day. SO disapointed.

It's strange. Furrion only shows one antenna on their website and it looks like mine. It appears that they are recalling them when installed on a 5'er but not on a TT.

Has anybody had the new Winegard antenna installed yet? Does it work any better than the Furrion?

If the specs are anywhere accurate between the Furion Omni and the Winegard 360 Omni the Winegard will outperform the Furion

The higher gain and considerably lower noise figure spec of the Winegard would be the better antenna...

And better than either of these antennas is the Sensar IV antenna with direction signal strength indicator

The dealer I bought my Cougar from just sent me an email about the recall and offered to replace the antenna but since I am 1,000+ mile away do I opted to just have them ship me the new antenna and install myself... Here is the install instructions the sent me...

I just installed this myself Monday. Very easy and works well with no issues. The dealer ordered parts at no cost even though I do not have a 5’er, and it was covered under the recall. Kit comes with everything needed except the screws.

I had a Sensar on my old Cougar (it was OEM antenna back in 2002) and it worked OK for OTA tv signals but I forgot to crank it down a few times. The bottom part was broken and the thing had to be turned with vise grips so the antenna was replaced by a King Jack 0A8500 direction OTA tv antenna. I opted not to get the signal indicator as I rely on a phone app to tell me which direction to point. Transmitters are often in somewhat different directions coming from the same general direction and pointing is a bit of a compromise. The King Jack works about as well as the Sensar. As I recall my Sensar had an addition piece added to it for HD digital signals. I would never use an omni directional antenna if I were truly interested in good OTA tv.

Camped two weeks ago in the same spot we've used for years.. with the directional Sensar I could get 22 stations depending on the weather... Couldn't get a single station with the 360... I'm looking for alternatives but if I have to spend $400-$500 for a workable replacement that will buy a SAT system.. and I can watch FOX NEWS..

I just got the Sensar IV yesterday - Install was very easy.I can/t say if I get more channels than with my Winegard omni directional (as I'm at home in the driveway ) but the new antenna even worked when it was collapsed down !
Also with the omni directional antenna, the tv signal would pixcelate when I moved around in the trailer,,,,,, very annoying ! The sensar IV had a strong picture no matter where I was in the trailer. I'm happy with it. Will give it a good trial next time out with the trailer. I just hope I don't forget to crank it down before I move the trailer. I've heard some stories where people have forgotten to crank it down and had it break from hitting branches or the wind on the highway trip.

Hi, my dealer just installed the new Winegard antenna on my 2019 Cougar RLS315 under the recall. This is now the 3rd antenna installed by them. The first 2 were Furrion bat wings (junk). The Wingard seems to pick up a few more channels in our drive way then the Furrion did. I'm happy with it and the dealer installed it while I waited, 45 minutes. Very surprised and happy Keystoned finally stepped up to the bat.

Did the dealer replace your Furrion antenna with Winegard Air 360+? Does the new antenna work with the Key system? Does the WiFi/LTE plug into the existing Furrion router?

Yes replaced with the Winegard 360 and no problems with the Key system yet. And not a clue about the wifi LTE plug, I don't have that. But all in all it seems better plus no wings so it should stay grounded.

I asked if your replacement is a Air 360+. An Air 360 doesn't have the 4G/LTE & WiFi capabilities.

If you look at the install instructions I posted in post #7 you will see that the original 4G/LTE antennas from the Furrion antenna remain in place and functional... The Replacement Winegard 360 dome with the TV antenna just covers over the 4G/LTE antennas...

The Winegard 360+ has its own WiFi/LTE base. The two brands are not compatible with each other.

I would imagine that Keystone would put the 360+ in since the Furrion had the WiFi/LTE ability. But... who knows.

That's what I am trying to figure out. If the dealer is installing the 360+ and the associated equipment for 4G/LTE and WiFi. Another thing is that I already have the Furrion equipment installed for 4G/LTE and WiFi, at about $300, I bet that they won't reimburse for that.
