Small Town Ford dealers

Our small town (pop 8300) Ford dealer is being closed by Ford. Owner says Ford is doing it nationwide to smaller dealers. Owner had it sold to another dealer but Ford killed the deal and bought out his franchise.
Next year would have been 50 years in business. I bought a F250 from them in 1980 and a Ranger in about 2003. They were nice folks but couldn’t repair a wheelbarrow.

Don't need repair facilities for the new wonderful save the world EVs. Just plug them in & electricity magic is produced to charge them for the next long 200 mile, if you're lucky, trip to the next plug in.

Chrysler did the same thing years ago. All the mom and pops gone. Folks came from all over the state for service ( V10 and diesel ) but they didn't keep a large inventory, so Daimler said bye bye . I bought 2 Dynastys, a Pacifica, a Dakota and 2 2500's from them. It was nice to have parts and service know you by name and deal with the same salesman for over 20 years.
Those days are gone replaced by the disposable car. Soon you will need a fully charged battery just to get to your closest dealer, Hank
