Forum username

Somehow my username, which should be “JohnBike”, lost a letter when I started using the Keystone forum. I expected it to be the same as my handle on the other RV Life sites.
How can I get it restored to JohnBike?

I can forward your request to a site team member that has the ability to edit your user name.

Funny!??? On all the forum sites, mine is Dutchmensport. But on the IRV2 site it truncated the name and it's Dutchmenspor. It dropped the "t" at the end. I just live with it there.

I have requested that Janet H (our forum interface with RV Life's "home team") take a look at what happened and hopefully come up with a reason why the software doesn't (or in this case, didn't) bring the member name to this site correctly.

As we all know, computers "should" not make mistakes, so, there's a reason it happened, the question then becomes, "Can we find the glitch (or the cause) to explain why it happened".....

"As we all know, computers "should" not make mistakes"...

I was a software tester for over 30 years. You are absolutely correct, computers do not make mistakes. But the people who program them do!

The very first thing I learned in the very first class I ever took on computers was the simple fact that computers are not smart. They are only as smart as the programs fed into them. And those programs are only as "smart" as the people who wrote the computer code.

Thus.... the need for good software testers who flush out the bugs the developers introduced or things missed they didn't think of.
