Securing wires to roof

Installed a garmin bc 35 backup camera. The unit isn’t true “wireless”
It has a 4- 5’ umbilical cord to a transmitter. It looks like I’m going to mount on the roof because it’s the only place that will pickup the garmin 785 in the truck without interference. ( they unfortunately do not make an extension cable for this model of garmin camera)
I would rather not drill into the roof. Would embedding the wire in a bead of dicore work? It seems to me that would be sufficient for that and any other wires I have to put up there. Has anyone tried this? Even thought of using plastic clamps but no screws just a drop of dicore in the clamp hole

I am guessing the cord is a power cord? I would go though the rear wall before the roof. Take a marker light off and see the ready made hole. I would maybe run in though the bottom of the marker light mount and seal that up really well before ever going though a roof. Are you going to wire it to another wire or plug it into an outlet? Even the taillights mounting holes would be a safer choice than the roof to get wires into the RV.

I should have explained better.
I mounted the camera in the furrian mount on back fifth wheel. I originally went through rear wall behind furrian mount and installed the transmitter in the rear cabinet. (Too much interference) so now I am running the wire out of the furrian mount and up to the roof exposed on outside wall about a foot ( I absolutely hate having an exposed wire showing cosmetically) the exposed wire is just for the transmitter. No wire is penetrating the roof. That is why I don’t want to screw into the roof to secure the wire from moving around on the roof. I will probably secure the transmitter onto the side or front of air cond shroud.

You could use strips of eternbond tape, or dabs of decor if you dont want to screw into your roof.

Yes, Eternabond tape would work. I have seen pictures of solar panel wires taped to RV roofs with it.

Found a picture of wires secured with eternabond tape.

We use zip ties with a hole for a small screw. Cover with Dicor and your good. Using eternabond may make removal of the wires impossible if you upgrade and take the camera/wires off.
