Green as a grape

Hello all. New member, new fifth wheel, new captain here!

Wife and I just signed on our first one yesterday. Laredo 296sbh. We’re excited to hit the road with our five year old son next spring! We had to try hard to have our son and we wanna do our best to make some memories and have some good times.

My parents camped up until Dad passed in 2015, now mom has their fifth wheel on a permanent spot so I am familiar with campers and the things that go along with them.

My emotions are all over the board with the anticipation of being in charge. Excited, nervous and humbled all rolled in to one. Looking forward to spring. Gonna be a long winter waiting!

Welcome to the forum
Congrats on your new purchase. Excitement and nervousness are all part of the lifestyle. I still get nervous the first 20 minutes of towing. If it’s stored at home USE IT!! we camp in the backyard on occasion.

River, welcome to the forum! You've come to a great place with great members and a wealth of information.

If you have questions or problems you will find a lot of folks that are willing to help. My parents didn't like to camp, and when we did, crazy things seemed to happen. I loved to camp and my wife does as well. We have had some of the greatest adventures and memories ever. My kids went with us everywhere and I'm thinking (hoping) you are going to have some wonderful memories from using your new trailer. Happy Camping!!

Welcome to the forum from Maryland. Winter is a great time to read up and order all the goodies that don't come with a new unit.

You just have to love a newbie that starts out his introduction with "We had to try hard to have our son." I better give that a good leavin' alone!
Welcome to the forum from the Memphis area. You say you're from Springfield....there are a lot of them. I assume a particular one?
