Coleman Grill
My wife, and In-laws got me a Coleman RoadTrip grill for Christmas ( I must have been real good) . I was wandering if anyone makes an adapter kit, with say 15' of hose to plug into my quick connect, or is this something I will just have to jerry rig? Thanks...-Joshua

Kenworth, Glad to hear that you escaped the naughty list. (This year anyway) I have the RoadTrip also and use a hose that connects directly to one of my tanks. I do not have quick Keystone connect so I do not know if their's is low pressure or high. This model hose/adapter will fit your grill but is for unregulated quick connect. Hope this helps, Hank

Hank, Thank You...I just found that and ordered it, after I posted this. Problem is, now that I think of it, I believe that my quick connect is low pressure though...

Your grille has a regulator at the grille end of the connector hose. If you want to use the quick connect on the trailer, you'll have to remove the Coleman regulator and connect the quick-connect hose to the remaining tube and connector.
The problem is that the trailer's quick connect is already a low pressure regulated supply. You can't double regulate an appliance.
Some already did this mod to their RoadTrip and posted the instructions and pics. Try searching on roadtrip or maybe coleman grille.

Update****
Well we went out this weekend for our 2013 maiden voyage, and it doesn't work since it is regulated twice. Does anyone know of an already made fitting that screws into the back of my grill without the regulator? The grill works great, but have to use the darn little cans.

This is a shortfall of the Coleman grill and there have been many posts over several forums about it. The regulator on the Coleman can be removed, but they use a proprietary thread size and the standard pipe thread fittings will not work on it.
I did read a post somewhere by a guy who used a worm type hose clamp to hold the QC hose to the grill. I'm not suggesting or recommending this practice because I've seen what can happen when propane is handled incorrectly, simply stating that I have heard of it being done. It is almost guaranteed that someone will come along and say they have done it that way for years with no problems. There are people who wake up every morning and ask themselves, "Self, do I feel lucky today?" I'm not one of them.
