A little concerned about the larger trailer, but these posts help ease my mind a bit. I've got the old style WD hitch with bars and chains and old crank friction sway bars.

Thinking of upgrading to Equalizer. Same concept just a little easier hookup maybe.

Also considering an electric tongue jack. Any preferences with the Tundra? Will tailgate drop while attached to trailer? Looking at Barker VIP 3500 and maybe Atwood.
I towed my 31SQB for 18 months with no issues with a 2011 with tow package. Turning radius was fantastic but that was using a Blue Ox Sway Pro Hitch. I'm not sure if that will make any difference or not. The Tundra handled the weight without any issues. I ran across one instance where the anti-sway feature of the Tundra took over for me and saved my a$$ so that was also great.

We just traded our 31SQB in for a different one that has a living room in the back end instead of the bunks and kitchen. We never used either. My kids would sleep everywhere but the damn bunks. We lost a bit on the trade, but couldn't be happier. I really thought the bunks would be great with two (sort of) young kids. At least this camper will now last us when the nest is empty in a couple years.

I think you will enjoy the camper and the tow.

What kind of hitch are you using? I couldn't lower my tailgate with my last trailer (Jayco 24FB) with the hand crank jack. Hoping the Equalizer might give some extra clearance.

I am using a BlueOx Sway Pro hitch. The BlueOx does push the camper away from the back end quite a bit though. I don't remember if the hand crank was an issue or not with the tailgate. I bought a Barker VIP 3500 electric tongue jack for mine.

My tailgate won't go down either. I'm about 2 inches too short.

I have a 08 Tundra with the factory tow package (10200 lb capable). I just purchase a new 2013 Passport Elite 31RE. So far after three trips the Tundra is doing great

Can you provide some details about which model of Fuzion you are looking at as well as some data about the towing/weight numbers (found on your TV door panel) of your Tundra? Some weights of the Fuzion would also help? Thanks

Not sure about Tundras #s I will have to look in the a.m. 7200 I believe. The fusion is the model 260 with a dry weight of 6735 and a hitch weight of 1130
