2018 Passport 199MB

Hello
Just picked up a 2018 Passport 199MB. Tow vehicle is a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the V6. Picked up in Alabama and drove to central Georgia. Have a good WDH. Normally get about 19mpg around town, it dropped to 16mpg on the trip home. Tires have a date code of late 2018, checked inflation, wheel bearing lube and lug nut torque. So far everything works and looking for a longer trip this fall.

Roger, First thing to do is go to the UserCP and find the signature button and build a signature with your year, make and model of your camper and the same for your truck. This will allow better context when you ask a question in the future. Your mileage ain't bad so enjoy driving by a filling station unlike some of the folks on this forum with true fuel hogs. And welcome; you will find folks fair friendly. And the tires... not sure what brand but if their date code is late 2018, they are likely Trailer Kings and those have a horrible reputation. Trailer tires typically age out and the 2018s should be replaced when you get a chance. Many like Carlisle or Goodyear tires. A blow out will break the bank to fix and many buy a TPMS and for the electrical an Electrical Management System (EMS) as some camp grounds haven't reliable power and can easily fry the expensive electrical components in your camper.

Greetings and welcome!

Whatever it takes, be certain your TT tires are up to the task. A Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) would be a wise investment.

Enjoy your new RV!
