Question Applying peel and stick tile over trailer wallpaper

I want to apply a peel and stick tile backsplash on the kitchen wall in my Springdale 1750RD to "dress it up." The stock wallpaper is textured and the sticky plastic tile will not adhere. I'd rather not try to remove the Springdale wallpaper. I don't want to damage the wall. Any ideas? Thanks!
