Where to put the weight?

I need everyone's opinion on this. I will be carrying 10 cases of shotgun shells to varies tournaments. approx. weight about 300 lbs.
1. Back of trailer in one of the bunks. I do carry two bikes on back also.
2. Under one of the dinette benches
3. Under the bed in the frt. Wife usually uses that for her stuff.
4. In truck brother in law says always keep truck heavy problem here is we usually run around at night to resturants and malls so I would have to put in trailer when we got there.
5. Spread them out all over.

Passport 238ML 2012.
thank you for your opinion

I'd probably put half under one of the benches and the other half under the sink. The weight would be over the axles and distributed side to side.

Where do you put your bikes? I've got the same trailer and am trying to decide where to stow them. I'm thinking of putting the fork mounts on the dinette bench wood like others have done.

I think you have seen pictures that I have posted before. I Fabricated an old hitch and welded to a 3 square and bolted to the trailer.I cant get the picture that I took.

dodgerman, Howdy;

If it were me I'd go with #4. Once you're there, doesn't really matter
where ya put it as long as ya don't stub a toe on it...

Ten cases takes up a fair amount of floor space. If you put them in one location you also have a lot of weight bouncing on your floor; weight distribution issues etc. If you stack them they are going to take off and break something. I'm assuming 12 gauge; 20 or 28 gauge boxes are a lot smaller.

Unless you vacate all your space under the benches and sink I don't think you're going to get 10 cases in the floor single stacked (I doubt even then). I think #5 is probably going to be the most feasible, BUT, if it were me I would seriously look at putting a BackFlip hard cover on the bed of your truck. Did it on mine and it's the best mod I've ever made to a truck. Folding hard cover with easy access, lockable and water tight. Just put them in the bed and forget it.
