Releasing TV from TT coupler
I hope I am posting my question in the correct section.
Last weekend as we returned from our shake down trip I had a hard time releasing my TV from the trailer coupler in my driveway when we returned home. I'm using a 2 5/16 in ball; everything was level. Once I had raised the TT and removed the torsion bars I lowered the trailer until I had taken the weight of the coupler. I could not release the lock pin. After raising and lowering the coupler numerous times I got myself a small persuader and tapped the coupler pin. It released immediately. After raising the trailer again to get it to drop off the ball my son had to jump on the hitch to get it to let go. I do not want to be going through this every time I unhook. This is out third trailer albeit the first two were pups. I have never experienced this before. Is there a trick to unhooking that perhaps I am missing?
Should I be greasing the coupler assembly?
