Door struts

All of the overhead cabinet doors didn't have any struts to hold them open. We installed these on all the doors. simple but sure helps.

Yep, I added those two, but the plastic version. I'm not sure why I picked the plastic, but the wife appreciates them. Someday I should do the same for outside storage. The little spring clips aren't so reliable.

Which? The door struts or the outside spring clips? If it's the door struts I'll take a pic this coming weekend as that's a soon as I can get out to the storage yard.

I was talking about the door struts. I managed to figure them out. Not sure why the doors didn't come with those in the first place. Makes a world of difference, DW was getting tired of holding door open with her head when she was putting things in the cupboards.

Correction... check that off my list. $4.95 a pair for the plastic ones and $6.95 for the metal ones. Worth it either way !

I tried some support lifts designed for home sue but the force was WAYY too much and had to remove the 1st one as soon as I installed it. Will grab a set of these after work- thank you!

They will if you move the cabinet side hinge up a little bit. This should give it more up, but you oviously wil have to make more holes

Tried that but then the strut just wouldn't close all the way. I'm thinking maybe I can find so hinges that will work better...

Talking

Howdy All, I could not find struts when I got my 2010 Springdale,so I just moved the hinges to the end of doors and they open right or left. The old screw holes are up high at the top of the door, hardly notice them.---Lou---
