"Recent threads" skips some subforums?
I just added a new post to "odds & ends" and was surprised to notice that it didn't register in the "recent threads" widget in the right-hand column...?

...Never mind, it showed up the moment I posted this.

Typically it will show up if you click on the circular arrow next to the address bar to reload the page.
