Hello! I just joined this forum and I am excited to participate and learn from everyone! We purchased a 2021 Bullet 257RSS and we tow it with a 2018 Chevy Silverado. So far we have only camped in our driveway as we purchased it just in time for our camping season to be over!

Driveway camping (or in our case, backyard camping) is a great way to make sure all the systems work (minus A/C until you can plug in to a proper 30A service). It's also fun for the familiy/kids/grandkids/.

Before each trip, I plug in the camper, flush the water lines and fill the water heater. Then fire up the furnace (during winter), water heater, stove, refrigerator and all other systems except the A/C while on house power. If anything isn't up to par, it gets handled then. During the summer, I roll out the generator and then fire up the A/C for about an hour to make sure it's doing what we need it to.

Enjoy that new camper and welcome to the forum (a massive amount of knowledge here- you're in the right place!)

Thanks for the info! This is our 4th RV (two pop ups and two TT) but our first Keystone. It is also our first experience with a slide out. My husband ran wires to install 30 amp service a few years ago so we keep our TT plugged in all the time. I like the suggestion to flush the lines before each trip!

Congrats and welcome!

Enjoy Camp Driveway! We purchased our current house 13 years ago JUST so we could park the camper on the property and be able to use it. So, basically, we full time in our driveway or on the road, and just happen to park it beside this house!

Have fun! Next you'll be building a fire pit next to where you park the camper! Just wait! It might happen! (Wanna guess how I know?)
