Good wifi extender

Hi. Any recommendations for a good roof mount wifi extender that can run on ac? I can get power from my master closet where i already have a sat dish entering but i do not have easy dc power access there. Just a regular outlet.

I just need wifi i do not want a cell plan.

Thank you.

I got the Alpha from tecnorv.com and very pleased with the unit and customer service. It is portable and works. Here is the url.

I installed a WiFi Ranger for our RV and although it seems to work well, I believe it’s overpriced for what it actually does. Basically it’s “off-the-shelf” hardware that has custom software to make it a bit more user friendly. So if you are on a budget, look at other options like the Alfa Camp Pro II.

I did replace the omnidirectional antenna with a Yagi with 14 dbi gain that’s mounted on a FlagPole buddy along with my cell booster antenna. With the FlagPole buddy, it puts the antennas way above the roof of the RV and gives it a bit more clearance if other RV’s are parked nearby, and I can easily turn the yagi towards the signal source. You know us hams, we love to tinker with antennas

I got the Camp Pro 2 from Amazon. The antenna itself seems to work well, but the repeater included in the kit was junk. It caused a bottleneck that only allowed me to connect to wifi about 20 feet from my camper. Connecting the antenna directly to my laptop and using it as an external wifi antenna works well, and I am able to set up my laptop as a hotspot.

I made my own mast for about $30ish dollars.
