How hard is it to replace a cable on the slide?

I noticed yesterday that the top cable on our slide (from end to end) is frayed on one end and needs to be replaced asap.

I found a BAL 22305 Cable repair kit by accuslide that says it is universal for all Norco Industry slides.

My question is how hard will this be to replace?

Do I need any additional tools?

Camping world quoted me $400, not happening.

I believe there are some You Tube videos or maybe even on the slide manufacturers site for cable replacement. I remember seeing them. Just don’t remember where. Didn’t look real hard. A lot depends on accessibility to the inside cable ends.

The trick is to replace the frayed cable BEFORE it breaks completely. That allows you to be able to hook onto the old cable and pull the new one into place.
