We have a new cougar mks 133 fifth wheel. We are not happy with the canopy. We cannot lower it to prevent the sun like you can on others. Screens are expensive. Was thinking of getting a mesh tarp and placing awning hooks to hang tarp with. Then I found the site SunPro which provides nice sun screens with a zipper easy to put up but again quite expensive. Does anyone have any suggestions or quirky ideas that work for them?

I the roller at the end of your awning should be a slot. Camping world sells a screen that slides right in that slot and has two eyelets on the bottom to tie it down mine was about 40 bucks easy to swap in and out

Are you sure you can't lower it? Is it a power awning? On mine, look at the bottom bars when extended. There should be a sticker saying to pull the elbow down to tilt. You can do both or one at a time.
