Leak between the slides on 06 Cougar

There a small section between the slides that gets wet everytime it rains. I checked the seals of the slides and they appear to be sealing. Im worried that I may have a leak around the area that the power cord is stored in. Has anyone ran into this with their trailers?

Leaks are real hard to know where they are really leaking from until you dig into a repair. It coulld be leaking from that spot but, check above it clear to the roof and look for water signs. Remember water runs down, look up from where you think it's leaking, it might be highter. Tell us what trailer it is, may be a known problem of that model.

I have a 304BHS. Ive checked in the cabinets above the area on the floor that keeps getting wet and its dry. The only place that it can be leaking from is the compartment that holds the power cord or from the slides.

Just a shot do you have any outside lights or speakers that it could leak around?

Not sure what type of power cord connection you have, but is it possible that the connection on the exterior wall of the RV is not sealed properly and water is leaking at that location and running into the power cord storage compartment?

On some units, the cord is stored inside and pulled out. On others, the cord is separate and is attached to a Marinco type inlet mounted on the exterior wall.

The cabinets could be dry but not inside the wall behind them. Can you take off the cord cover and get and hand in and feel around for wetness. Anything on inside wall nearby to remove and check like a switch or power plug and check there also.

There are no lights are anything above it except for a spot where the rain gutter on the side of the trailer comes together. The gutter is bent alittle .....Im gonna straighten it and make sure its sealing. Next Im gonna pull the cover where the power cord is store and check for signs of water.

Problem solved.........The cap wasnt sealed correctly when it was installed at the factory. It let water run in from the top and rotted the floor........ Not good! Just a reminder of things to check if your having leaks. Thanks for the help everyone

Glad you found the leak and got it stopped. Sorry to hear the floor is damaged. Hopefully it won't be a difficult repair.

What "cap" are you talking about that wasn't sealed properly?
