Unable to get channels on TV

There is no antenna booster in the trailer- we have searched everywhere, multiple times by several people. We are unable to get any local channels, the channel search (air) comes up with only RF channels-no air channels.
We are in a seasonal campground, everyone around us can get channels, we can stream so the TV works, but would like to get local channels for news, weather... Everything is hooked up to the antenna, and back of TV. Unable to follow wiring from the TV to the antenna though due to the trailer set up

Does your trailer have KEYTV? It's a "box" that automatically detects the type of input and makes booster/switching occur "automatically"... If you have KEYTV, check the box, it should have a "blue power on" light. If it's illuminated, the system is turned on, if it's not illuminated, check for fuses.

If the KeyTv light is blue, Make sure the coax cable from the tv is attached to the correct port on the wall plate, set the tv input to “air” and do a scan. Digital tv signals are typically all or nothing and reception can vary from spot to spot even 20’ away. I park the trailer in my driveway and I get no channels, but in my front yard it gets 8.

If it doesn't have KeyTv then it will have a booster somewhere. Maybe in the bedroom closet? I have seen them in some strange places. Look in cabinets anywhere there is a coax connection for a TV.

Someone pointed out that the Diplexer says KeyTV, so we must have that.
We will have to search for the box for that. There’s a box to plug cable or satellite into so I’m assuming it would be there. I’ll have to look into that more thoroughly next weekend - thank you!

It looks like this: Behind a square black locking door on the side or back. It is standard on all models with build dates after August 2018.

Usually the selection between OTA channels and cable channels is a function of your TV, not your rig wiring. Make sure you have your TV set to antenna instead of cable before (or when) you do your channel scan.

i'm new, but will jump in anyways...

the KEY TV senses signals, and will shift to the Cable, if hooked up.

if not, the KEY TV will select your roof top antenna (assuming you have one, my RV dealer did NOT tell me I had one, i just tried one night), and you will get off the air signals,

FWIW: I can't figure out what the difference would be between the SAT TV and CATV plates would be on the KEY TV, unless it amplifies different RF frequencies, but IDK.

if your plate has the blue lite on it, unplug & scan for "off the air" channels.

then, plug any cable TV cable into, and replug for "Cable" channel

hope that helps?

I have a 2019 bullet. It has Key TV but there is no blue light on the plate where the satellite and antenna hook up. Also I looked at the box on the outside wall. No blue light. No button to push anywhere and I have searched everywhere I could think of looking. Switching tv input to “air” and doing a channel scan was fruitless but I really dont know if there are any channels available where it is...

Here is a link to a recent thread about the same issue;

https://www.keystoneforums.com/forum...ytv#post392730

Note my post #16. Also note the controller picture on the link I attached in that post. I suspect the "blue lights" come from that 12vdc input shown. I have blue lights on the controller in the convenience center (note that it says that on the big faceplate) and the plate for a TV in the basement. Strangely the plate in the bedroom does not have the provision for a light on it.

If you mean it isn't on, that means you have no 12v power.

If you mean it isn't there, you're looking in the wrong place. Look outside where the park cable connector is.

to clarify, on the far side, is the input plate with the blue light.

on the entry side, there is an OUTPUT plate, without a light, that is for an external TV to be put up outside.

Correct.
Only time you plug in ti the SAT port is iff you are attaching a portable Satellite dish/dome outside. Inside you attach another cable fro SAT to SAT receiver then to TV.

The CATV senses if there is a cable tv signal or pull from roof antenna.
The tv has to be set for catv or antenna on many.

There is no LED emitter inside or outside, yet the connection plates say KeyTV.

If you have KeyTV and the blue LED on the plate isn’t lit, either it’s not powered or the light has burnt out. Are your TVs working correctly?

I found my magic Key TV box. It was on the back side of the camper behind a Small locked door. I opened the door and the blue indicator LED was shining. I thought that hatch was for the Aussie grill. Oh well, mystery solved. There was no on/off button though. None of the other KeyTV plates had the blue light.

Only one KeyTV plate has the light and there isn’t a switch.
KeyTV auto senses if SAT or Cable is connected or whether it needs to use roof antenna. Just connect your outside coax if used. Connect TV to cable or SAT jack.
If you have SAT connected outside you connect inside jack to SAT tuner then to your TV.
