Backsplash source

The backsplash on the wall behind the kitchen sink of our 24RDS was not attached correctly. The ends were solid but the middle third had no glue and was not sticking to the wall - in fact it had a ~1/4" 'pooch-out'. I told my wife it wasn't worth a trip to the dealer so I would just remove it and reglue it myself. Of course I damaged it. So now I need a new backsplash.

I have searched the forum and googled and googled but cannot find a source for the OEM backsplash. All of the posts on the forum (that I have seen) talk about 'upgrading' the splash. I will do that if necessary but - - I like the OEM splash.

Does anyone know of a source for the factory splash in the picture. I have seen it across multiple Keystone brands and models.

Thanks.

The standard reply often given to others seeking OEM parts on this forum, is to contact Tiara Sales or Trekwood. The problem with dealing with Trekwood or Tiara is the outrageous shipping charge and inflated article price (that’s if they even have it). Personally, I’d go to Amazon or a big box store such as Home Depot or Lowe’s and pick out a peel and stick pattern you like and install that instead. My camper’s backsplash immediately developed a long crack bringing it home from the dealer. The cause was a drywall screw they used to fasten the microwave bracket (the backsplash extended behind the microwave) was forced through the 1/4” cast backsplash, without first drilling a pilot hole. The drywall screw wedged the casting creating a crack. Keystone said the material was no longer available and only offered to take it to the dealer. Since we were living in it, it wan’t possible to leave it at the dealer for weeks. Trekwood wanted $600 for the backsplash. Every time I’ve contacted Trekwood and Tiara for anything OEM, I’ve been quoted similar prices. Good luck.

You don't necessarily have to have factory installed materials and go through the agony of attempting to find an exact match for what you had. You have a perfect opportunity to replace a drab looking, plain white back splash with something much more attractive now.

Any type of wall paneling will work, especially if it has a plastic base or a rubber base material (not paper or wood paneling). You can also use those 2x2 foot sheets of simulated aluminum or copper often used on ceilings. Actually, my kitchen walls in my house, above all my counter tops and below the cabinets, including the sink and stove have this.

You also have the option of using any wall paneling used in bathrooms. Usually, these are more of a rubber texture, or a very flexible vinyl. I installed these in one of my bathrooms at the house, around the shower/tub and on around the toilet, floor to ceiling. Very strong, very water resistant, and installs with Liquid Nails.

Here's the simulated tin for ceilings I was talking about. I love this stuff, and it looks good too: Click here.

For example, there are over a thousand options available at Lowe's Home Improvement stores that are candidates. Many of these are quite decorative: Click here.

Then there is frp wall paneling (nice stuff) Click here for frp

And you can go to the moon with bathroom paneling: Bathroom Paneling, click here.

You can go as expensive as you want or a cost effective as you want. While you are at it, why not add the same behind the stove too.

Trekwood.com does have the backsplash, but as stated earlier in the thread, it's expensive and then when you add Trekwood's outrageous shipping and handling charges, the price becomes even more "shocking"....

Here's the price of the same backsplash in an 18"x46" panel for a specific model Bullet travel trailer. Just the part cost is $218.50. When you add shipping charges, it gets even more expensive.... I'd recommend taking DW to Lowe's or Home Depot and let her pick out what she really, REALLY would rather have in the trailer..... YMMV

If you want the white herringbone look, this might work. https://www.amazon.com/Art3d-Herring...77447011&psc=1

We also found the above at Lowe's as well as other patterns. Used one to change the backsplash behind our stovetop. Simple install and it looks great!

Thanks for the responses.
As I said, I like the OEM backsplash and thanks to John's link, at least I now know who the manufacturer is.
I have emailed them to ask about retail sales or retail outlets for their products and am waiting for an answer.
If their answer is not favorable I will go with the peel and stick options. Thanks for the links.
