Try turning off the propane, remove the pigtails. Re attach and turn the propane on SLOWLY.

You may have turned it on too fast and the safety valves shut off the flow.

Thanks. Figured it out. We had a fuel measurement valve on there and it must have been stopping the flow.

Are you referring to one of these?
Just FYI! The changeover regulator between the the 2 tanks is just as accurate as that thing. They both give you the same 2 measurements, full & empty.
IRC the name, Mopeka fits under the tanks & far more accurate, it does cost more though.

I discourage the use of those gauges. Never used them but was sitting across from an RV one day, the owner gone, when a woman smoking on a cigarette walked by that trailer and started yelling. I went out to see what was going on and she said the RV was blowing gas. Sure enough you could hear LP hissing big time. Pulled the cover off and there was one of those things on one of the tanks with LP just spewing out of it. Turned the tank off and left the owner a note. When he got back I went to explain the situation and that gauge was faulty letting the LP just blow out. I helped him remove both of them and told him how to watch his regulator.

I had those, they leaked and now they take up space on my workbench shelf.
