Newbie from Vancouver WA

Greetings all!

We will be picking up our new Cougar 29RBKWE on Monday, and we're quite excited; this will be our first.

I'm towing with a '10 Tundra Double Cab 5.7L. It seems everything will be within spec, but I'll admit a bit of nervousness and backing it into our driveway. We have an RV spot, but I don't think I can get enough angle to get in there. The good news is there are two RV storage lots within a mile of home :-)

Happy to meet you all, and looking forward to reading some of your wisdom!

Scott and Bonnie

Scott & Bonnie from your northern neighbour. Backing it up may be intimidating at first but you will soon become proficient. Enjoy and be safe.

Congrats on the new Cougar! We live just up the road in the Salmon Creek area. If you can get your rv parked on your property that is the best scenario. That way you can keep an eye on you rig and access is easy and convenient. Enjoy!

from the east side of the state, and Congradulations on the new Cougar. The Cougar is a great trailer, don't worry backing, just take it slow and easy and you will get the hang of it. Happy Campin

Welcome from Ridgefield. After a day like today I can't wait to get our Cougar out and start Camping. I have found that this is the best forum to find out anything you might want to know and a few you might not.

Welcome to the group. With a little practice you can put a TT just about anywhere

Backing in, slow and easy does it. I have a tight situation. I park our 27FT TT behind the house with a short 90 degree turn. Takes a couple of tries as the
trailer comes within three inches of the corner of the house. I am going to try
a product called "Power Caster", I will report on this later. It's gotta be cheaper
than storage rent. Good luck with the new rig. - Fred.

Thanks all!

It'a amazing how many people are from our neck of the woods!

We went to the Portland RV show again yesterday so Bonnie could start to 'accessorize,' and we've booked a weekend at the coast for our maiden voyage. Looking forward to the steep learning curve of a first outing!
