4way valve issue

Hey y’all,

I’ve got. A 2016 Keystone Avalanche and the 4-way valve when switched to city will leak into and fill up my fresh water tank. So I took apart the valve and it seems the black seals are cracked and a small chunk is missing. So I know that is the issue. However, I’m trying to find the part to replace that 4 way valve. Please let me know where I can get this darn part. I looked through the keystonerv catalog but can’t seem to find it. Your help would be immensely useful.

Thanks!

Anderson Kantleak is one brand, but it looks different than yours.
You might look on Trekwood RV parts or call Tweety's RV parts.

That's an Anderson Kantleak 4 Function RV Fill Station - model #200RV-RK You can buy a repair kit but every supplier that I'm aware of is out of stock/no longer stocked. If you can find a repair cartridge, that would be your "best bet" for a somewhat inexpensive repair of your existing valve body. Here is a link to what the repair kit looks like: https://www.amazon.com/Kantleak-Ande...ct_top?ie=UTF8

There's a replacement brass valves available:https://www.abcorv.com/products

Alternatively, if the only issue (so far) is the "unintentional" fresh water tank filling, you could consider installing a manual valve in that line, so you can turn it off to prevent the tank from overflowing.

It appears that the plastic version of the Anderson Kantleak valve has been discontinued and replaced with the brass version. The plastic version was very problematic with deterioration of the o-ring configuration and leaking water into the fresh water tank. I've replaced several. There website has a cross reference chart.

I thought about that but I like the look and convenience of the valve switch. $199 is a lot to swallow. I do wonder if Anderson will just send me their new brass valve system since this is a known issue from what I’ve been reading. A TON of people are having this issue with this which is why they stopped making the replacement part for it.

Yea. That’s exactly correct. I pulled it apart and the o ring on the city water fill was broken apart

I have had really good luck with contacting customer service at Keystone direct. If you don’t have any luck elsewhere you might try that.

while it's true that not every O-ring in every size is readily available, Harbor Freight and nearly every local hardware store has an O-ring selection. The HF kit is available in several sizes, the one I bought has about 400 O-rings in about 30 different sizes. https://www.harborfreight.com/382-pi...ent-67554.html

You might find an O-ring to replace the broken one if you do a little "hardware store searching".....

The O-rings on the circumference of the spool should be common O-rings, the (4) surrounding the holes in the spool are definitely special propriety O-rings as the cross sectional profile of the O-ring changes with every degree around the circle.

Do not use a petroleum based lubricant in the valve, I use O-ring lubricant from the swimming pool supply outlets.

And if it were mine I’d also go in and install this brass check valve at the output side of your fresh water pump.. then if the internal check valve on the pump sticks or fails you will not backfill thru water pump and overflow fresh water tank...
