What everyone is sreaming about in Texas is insurance, particularly homeowners. Values have skyrocketed, thus taxes too. The local tax assessors keep pushing values up and the public and the big insurance companies keep screaming STOP. the big insurance companies are pressuring homeowners to replace roofs since that is a common damage claim. Constant money grab. Legislature is supposed to have insurance at the top of their list.
