Sanitize tank with on-demand water heater

I have a 2022 Carbon 358 with the on-demand water heater. I don't have a "water heater bypass" valve, all i have is the "winterize" valve. I want to make sure that when i fill my freshwater tank with the correct mix of bleach, that it bypasses the heater when i run the water/bleach mixture through the lines. I don't see anything in the documentation that came with the RV regarding this process.

Mine has a Girard tankless water heater and no bypass. I always sanitize the WHOLE system. Why are you opposed to sanitizing the water heater? The hot water system harbors a lot of bacteria, so that is what I want to sanitize the most! Besides, if you sanitize everything but the water heater, all you do is re-contaminate the system the first time you run the hot water.

Since you can’t get the hot water system to the required 180° F for 30 minutes to non-chemically sanitize the system, you NEED to run bleach solution through the ENTIRE system, water heater and all.

From everything i had read, i thought it wasn't a good idea to let bleach sit in the on-demand water heater given that bleach corrodes metal. I figure the bleach solution will sit in the lines for at least 6 hours before i flush the system.
