Atwood furnace issue

I have a 2016 passport ultra lite. I am camping this week in weather where the low is around 30. I started having an issue today. The furnace comes on and works for five to ten minutes fine. Then it shuts off the flame, runs a minute or two and then reignites. It then runs until it reaches the set temp. It’s keeping the camper warm, but I don’t know why it keeps doing that. Could it be the flame sensor? Thanks
Neil

It could be the igniter/flame sensor, or the limit switch or the control board.

Its been my experience that if the igniter/flame sensor is bad it may ignite but will go out within seconds.

If you're relying on the furnace to keep you and the trailer warm and plan to continue this camping trip for a few more days, I wouldn't start doing any maintenance/troubleshooting on the furnace. If you have a component that is "working sometimes but not like it should" and you pull that piece off and clean it and reinstall it, you might find that it stops working completely and you're without any heat at all.

Once you get back home and aren't relying on the furnace for your comfort, then "tear into it and try to fix it"....

Looking to see if there's something obvious that's broken is one thing, but if you start taking things apart, they may not go back together and if you can't find a replacement on the holiday weekend, then it could turn into a "cold, uncomfortable rest of the week"....

Yes, I’m leaving it alone until this trip is over. I’ve learned my lesson on that.

Yes, that’s what I don’t understand. It is almost at the set point before it shuts down and comes back on. Is the high temp sensor self resetting or is it just a thermal fuse? I don’t have great cell service so I haven’t done a lot of research.

Do you have any outlets closed or restricted? This will cause low air flow and trip the unit on the high limit switch.
