There are several RV salvage stores around the Elkhart, Indiana area. There's also a pretty good salvage yard, Bontrager's RV Salvage,
https://bontragers.com/.
They're located in Michigan, just across the Indiana/Michigan state line in White Pigeon, MI.
On a 2006 trailer, I'd guess you have either a Dometic, A&E or Carefree awning. There should be a tag sewn on the fabric, at the front closest to the awning roller tube. Likely most of the writing will not be legible, but maybe the manufacturer is still readable. With that info and the year of your trailer, you should be able to get an awning at a salvage yard for significantly less than the cost of a new one at an RV dealer/parts store. The only reason for trying to match the manufacturer is so the arms for the awning will match the holes in your trailer sidewall.
Use the internet to look for RV salvage around Elkhart and give Bontrager's a call. Maybe you'll get lucky and save a few hundred bucks and still get a new, "out of the box" awning.
Good Luck !!!
