At 58 I have been around camp gennys most of my life. I have had 4 now. I will never have another genny that takes 2 people to move in/out of a truck bed. The 2000s are a great size, not much noise. My opinion a single 3000 may work a A/C. My last genny was a 3600 and it would not run well with outside temps over 100 and running the A/C on high. low speed it was OK but, the A/C needed to be on high to cool down the unit. That one was fueled by propane and the high elevation may have also been a problem as how it ran.
