Jensen TV codes

I am trying to get my Shaw direct controller to control my Jensen TV. None of the codes listed work, and the find the code feature doesn’t work either. Shaw direct is a Canadian company. Has anyone been able to find the proper code to perform this function?

We have given up trying to get any other remote to work with our Jensen TV or even a 12 volt Jensen DVD player we have. I’m not sure what the problem is, but no matter what I’ve done, nothing works. So, for the bedroom TV, along with the DVD player and satellite dish, we have four remote controls, one more too for the Fire Stick.

Some electronics are not compatible with universal code remotes. For example my Bose system has proprietary remote.

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer.? You could also ask your local Cable TV provider.

Take at look at the Logitech site and their Harmony remotes https://www.logitech.com/en-us/harmo...versal-remotes. They have an online database I think with 100K+ codes. They aren't cheap but they work. I use them on every system in the house and 1 in the camper. When yo programe them iot looks at the data base and downloads the codes for the equipment.

I started using them many years ago as the DW is technologically challenged. So for example @ home she can push one button on the remote to watch cable and it will turn on the TV, the DVR cable box, the surround sound receiver, and change all the inputs and settings. Same thing for streaming, DVD, OTA, or radio (OTA or on the internet). With the hub I can program it to set anything on the network like the HVAC system, lighting, turn the fireplace on, etc. It also has a phone app so I can let her have control of the remote and I can still do the same functions (more actually) on the phone.

FWIW when when I set up an older Harmony remote for use in the camper it had no problem finding and setting up the Jensen radio in the camper. I replace the OEM tv with a Samsung so I can't tell you if it would find those brands.

Have you gone online and used the chat feature with Shaw? They are very helpful and will probably walk you through dozens of codes to find the right one.
