Now that you've had this experience there's one way to gain future peace of mind regarding the shore power, get an EMS. It's the best money you can spend IMHO.

I have the southwire portable EMS with the wireless monitor. Being able to see the amp draw and voltage at the press of a button from inside the trailer is huge for me personally. I agree best money spent. An EMS has saved me once before.

There is actually an electrician across from me and I was telling him what I was getting. He came over and tested everything. He determined it was a burnt bulb on the surge protector as he tested that as well and it was working. I will look into the EMS.
