Problem with waste dump on first trip.

Yep, I understand your problem. On the other hand, when I was a tike, my job was to empty our "cesspool" next to the house. It was a concrete hole in the ground with about a 18" lid on it. All our "stuff" drained into it and then we had to "empty" it. I was a little guy, maybe 5-7, and my dad said it was my job to empty it. I was given a coffee can with a coat hanger (several) put together to lower into the muck, pull it out and place it into a bucket. When the bucket was full I was to carry it across the road and pour it in the mesquite bushes. I did this until it was empty....and did it every week. The sewer drain valve on an RV is nothing I worry about

The one closest to us has a credit card operated trap door and if you use you Cabela's Club credit card, they do not charge you.

Like Javi said, go to a campground with full hookups. I'd follow all the advice given, take a few days and go camping. I'd use the CGs roads to drive around and agitate things, maybe a couple times a day. Let it soak, then rinse it out. Much better than trying to do it at home or at a dump station. Plus you get to CAMP at the same time. Relax and enjoy that part of it while taking care of rinsing the tanks.

Lots of good advice, especially the extra valve on the drain line. For triple redundancy I have a drain cap with a garden hose connection with a cap.
I try to keep a little water in both black and gray tanks. Add some Dawn and fabric softener on the last dump of the trip and hopefully the shaking going down the road home helps clean things.

Our Cabela's also has running water, that I use for flushing the tanks out... not sure how any other locations are setup.

I also have a 12 volt macerator pump, that I use at home when we have overflow company using the "spare" bedroom.

At least you noticed it before you opened the cover. I did not. Needless to say the shoes and socks I had on went to the trash after that. That was our first trip out with our first camper. Haven't made the same mistake twice.
